Test post  Gauri Shankar Secondary School is located in Nijgadh Muncipality, Ward No. 8,  Bara, Mahdesh Province which was established in 2031 B.S. with the help of local residents.   They realized the need of educating their children and as a result this school was set up in an open ground in southern part of Nijgadh. After some months the school was transferred to cow shade and then to the present place. It was established as a primary school. In 2029 B.S. it was upgraded to lower secondary level school and in 2032 B.S. to secondary level school. 

This school has been able to be a leading community school in Rupandehi dristrict. This school has been playing a great role in the development of quality of education. It has been able to be an “A Grade School” because of its well management, quality of education and dedicated teachers. In 2065 B.S. it was upgraded to Secondary Level School. This school is an ISA certified community school. Many students are now studying in this school. Many students come to this school from far away. It is one of the leading government community.
